here are our Top Tips for Rving in Hilton Head.

1. Bring a bike.

The island features more than 60 miles of bike trails. It is the Best way to get around and you can get almost everywhere by bike. You can bring one or you can rent one for around $40 for a week.

2. Best time to visit-

We visited the end of March and it was perfect! Spring and fall are the perfect times to visit. you will find Lower prices , fewer crowds and Great weather.

3. Where to stay in your RV.

We stayed at two different Rv resorts during our time here. First, Hilton Head Harbour RV Resort & Marina. It is a beautiful option right on the water. All the RV lots are owned but you can still rent them. Please Note: They do have stipulations about travel trailers and 5 wheels with slide-outs. Check their website for more details.

Next, we stayed at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort. This is a beautiful, High end and super relaxing Motorcoach resort. You do need to be in a motorhome to visit. They accept Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes.

There is also a great-looking KOA just off the island if you are traveling in a Travel Trailer of 5th wheel. South Point/Yemassee KOA

4. What to do

-Go to the Beach. Hilton Head has 13 miles of family-oriented beaches and they are dog friendly and even allow off-leash between certain hours of the day.

-Visit The Sea Pine Resort. An upscale resort area ($8 fee for entering) featuring Harbour Town ( shopping, Marina & lighthouse museum), Lawton Stables - where you can ride horses, ponies and visit a free animal farm.

-Tours. There are countless tours to can take on Hilton Head Island to get you out on the water. Fishing & sightseeing tours, Kayak & jets rentals, and many private charters as well.

-Golf. One of the main draws to the island is golfing. Hilton Head features 24 on-island Championship golf courses and over 40 courses in the Hilton head/ Clifton area. More than one million games of golf are played on the island annually.
