Hiking In The Great Smoky Mountains - Pigeon Forge
We take you to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park hiking up to Grotto Falls and then, we go to a blacksmithing/forging class at Iron Mountain Metal Craft in Pigeon Forge.
We could’ve easily spent another week or two here in the Smoky Mountains! It is so beautiful and there is so much to do and see.
Some of our favorite things include-
* Iron Mountain Metal Craft- Travis and the kids took a blacksmithing class and made knives out of a railroad spike and horseshoes. It was such a cool experience different from the everyday tourist stuff.
* The Lost Sea- We toured the caverns and at the bottom of the cave took a boat ride around America’s largest underground lake. This is very cool to see!
* Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Theater. Rylie and Tripp Love dinner shows so we have been to several different ones around the country and this one did not disappoint.
* Grotto Falls- This was our favorite hike we did in the Great Smoky Mountains NP. The trail was beautiful and lush the entire way up. Once you reach the waterfall, you can walk behind it. A great place to take pictures!
* The Old Mill Restaurant- Great atmosphere in this 200-year-old mill turned restaurant. The corn fritters and corn chowder soup were delicious!
There is no lack of things to do in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.
