Induction Cooktop Cover

After reading numerous post on the Entegra Owners Group on Facebook and consistently worrying about the possibility of our induction cooktop having something drop on it we figured it was time to build the β€œHome Depot Special” induction cooktop cover for ourselves.

Before and After photo of an induction cooktop cover made from parts from Home Depot.

As you can see in the above photo the board is slightly larger than the actual stovetop. To be exact it is 1 inch wider on each side and 1.5 inches on the top and bottom. This gives you the perfect amount of room to mount the feet to the board.

I measured my cooktop which was 24-3/8” wide by 15” deep. The board from Home Depot was 26-3/8” wide by 18” deep. The feet are 1 inch wide. This makes measuring in off the sides simple because I just lined the edges of the feet up to the side of the board and I knew it was in the perfect place.

The top and bottom required me to only measure in 1 inch and make a mark where I would center the foot and attach the screw. By measuring in 1 inch and the foot being 1/2 inch to the center of the foot I had accomplished a 1.5-inch difference between the width of the stove and the board on each end.

INSTRUCTIONS:
I measured 4 inches each direction from each corner to place my feet. 4 inches just seemed like a good number and it worked out perfectly to hold the cover snug in place.

Place the side feet flush and attach them at the 4-inch mark.

The front and back feet need to be attached with the screw hole 1-inch in from the edge at the 4-inch mark.

Repeat this on all 4 corners and you are done!
